Pygmy Possum lodge has no onsite manager, but is available all year round for both member and non-member bookings. It is a non smoking, self cater, self clean lodge. This means that you get to enjoy a great holiday in relaxed surroundings and save by doing your own cooking, cleaning and sharing tasks around the lodge. All bedrooms have modern ensuites. The majority are twin share or double bed rooms. There are four "family" rooms. Each room is supplied with pillows and doonas but you must supply your own linen and towels. The lodge has 2 large well equipped kitchens, 2 large drying rooms, and a large lounge area to mix with the other guests. As no catering is provided you will need to bring prepare all your own meals while at the lodge and bring a supply of fresh food. Some condiments are provided as part of the booking fee, and some other non perishable food are available for purchase from the food store. See the Food at Pygmy Possum link for details. The shopping facilities within the village are almost non existent.

Park in the carpark opposite the Chalet after unloading your car at the front steps of the lodge. Do not leave your car parked at the front of the lodge, as there is insufficient space.

In late spring, summer and autumn it is possible to drive all the way to Charlotte Pass Village and park there. From the beginning of the June long weekend to the close of the October long weekend the access road beyond Perisher is closed due to real or potential snow cover and there is no overnight parking at Perisher. Follow the link for details of transport options to get to Charlotte Pass Village when the road is closed.

Lodge Keys are sent to Lodge Captains a week or so before their booking starts. Lodge captains are advised by email a) that they ARE to be the captain of their wing for the week, and b) they need to print off and take to the lodge with them a number of documents as below:

• Opening and Closing the Lodge 68k PDF, 2pages. (Laminated copy in the entry area downstairs)
• Suggested Guest briefing by Lodge Captain 57k PDF, 2 pages. (Laminated copy on each wing notice board)
• Lodge Duties Roster Sheet 104k PDF, 2 pages. (Laminated copy on each wing notice board)
• Lodge Captains Checklist and Report Form 92k PDF, 2 pages. Print and take to the lodge to fill in.
• Summary of Food Used, Payments, Refunds Sheet 96k PDF, 1 page template document. Lodge captains are also emailed a foodstore summary sheet which is prefilled with names, booking id, subid and deposits paid for their wing and week. Print and take the prefilled version.
• Weekly Balance Sheet 56k, 1 page. Print and take to the lodge to fill in.

Copies of the Visitors Registers forms are available at the lodge in the folder under the notice board of each wing. These are to be filled in by all guests. Please let know if the visitors register forms are running low, or if any of the laminated forms are missing.

Mobile Coverage
At Charlotte Pass Village you will be very fortunate if you can get mobile phone coverage. Perhaps from the Pass itself....

Public Telephone
The coin operated phone in the lodge is available for outgoing and incoming calls. Please limit all calls to ten minutes to give people trying to ring in a chance to get through. (It is possible to use phone cards with this phone.)

Internet Coverage
Wireless Broadband is available at the Lodge and can be accessed by using your own computer or device. You can either go to Stilwell Lodge and purchase pre paid hours or pay for the service you want on line when you first log in.

1. Set your network connection to wireless and select the wireless network "pyp01" or "pyp1"
2. Open your internet browser and you will be automatically transferred to the Airlan site
3. Enter your pre paid hours login (that you purchased from Stilwell) or choose a package on line from the Airlan website prices and plans page. Airlan advises on this page:

   Before you purchase any of our products, you must first make sure you are able to connect to Airlan's hotspots and browse our website with no issues. This access is free and will enable you to test your coverage. Once you are happy with your connection and have purchased any of our products, it is deemed you have read and agree with all of our terms and conditions. To get access to the logoff button make sure you have popups enabled, else disable your wireless devise or shut-down your device and your account will time-out in 5mins. If your device accesses the internet within 10mins after this you will be logged in automatically as a matter of convenience so you don't have to type in your details again.
