The Process

• Find your own buyer and negotiate the full sale price privately.
• Your membership must be financial for any transfer to proceed. Use the Resources for Existing Members page to have up to date information on the status of your membership sent to you via email.
• Review the new member requirements before finalising any agreement with a propective new member. Please supply that web link to prospective new members.
• As per By-Law 6.2, all new members must be approved by the Board before transfer completion.
• You may choose to include your Accommodation Credit Points in the sale (this is optional).
• Introduce your buyer to once you've reached an agreement.

To proceed with this option ensure your membership is financial then advise of your desired sale price for the Subscribed Capital Units(SCU) held by your membership.

The Process

• The club acts as broker, corresponding with interested parties on your behalf.
• Multiple membership SCU set at the same price are offered to buyers chronologically (based on listing date).
• Once the club makes a formal offer to a buyer on your behalf, the listing cannot be withdrawn.
• Timeline depends on new member applications and may take considerable time

Accommodation Credit Points

• Accommodation Credit Points are not transferred with the membership
• After your all of your membership SCU are sold, any Credit Points will be:
  1. Retained under your name (as a non-member record).
  2. Available for you to use for future guest bookings.
  3. Available to list for sale to current financial members at your chosen price on the club's Accommodation Credit Exchange.
  4. Available to transfer to other members or donate to the club.

Important Notes

• Your membership remains active until sold, so annual fees continue to apply.
• Your membership must be financial to list and remain financial until sold.
• You may update your listing price or withdraw your listing at any time before we make a formal offer to a buyer.

Conditions

• Available only in cases of genuine personal hardship and subject to Board approval.
• The club will purchase Subscribed Capital Units(SCU) at the base rate of $1,000 per SCU.
• Limited to two SCU per member.
• Once Board-approved, this option can be processed quickly.
• Where buyback reduces membership SCU holdings to zero:
  • Any Accommodation Credit Points will be forfeited.
  • Any outstanding fees will be subtracted from the purchase price.
